Crying

We have one body, two heads, two hearts, two pairs of ears, two pairs of eyes, two pairs of legs, two hands and two sleeves.
Two sleeves to wipe away tears — and a whole sea of tears.

We are two women, we are sisters.
We are tender and sorrowful.
We grieve together, we merge into a single being, and it becomes a little easier.

There are so many tears — they crystallize, turn to stone, shine in the sun, shimmer.

The tears have become little bells — the crying has turned into a song, carried away by the wind.
Wind, carry our song to those who are hurting. Let them feel at least a little lighter, even for a moment.

We are mourning the world.
Everyone for whom there are not enough tears.
Poor, poor people.
A sea of tears.
Sea, take this grief away.

We are mourning ourselves,
Little, sweet ones,
We (they) have floated away into the sea of tears.
We (they) have said goodbye.

Sea, take us–them.

Sing us a little song, have pity on us.
